In the painting, Eastport Harbor
at Dusk, I was standing on a fishing boat that would soon make the trip to Lubec, a small village across the bay from
Eastport. The reflective qualities in the water that evening were stunning and as the sun continued to set and the colors
started melding into increasing shadow, I snapped a photograph that I would later take to my studio, edit and eventually turn
into the painting shown at right.
